Main Street
We invite you to take a stroll down Good Shepherd Fairview Home’s “Main Street.”
- This, That & More Shop: The café and shop is
open daily. It offers sandwiches, pizza, soup, desserts, coffee, packaged
snacks, and other light fare. Greeting cards and other items are also
available for sale.
Beauty
Salon/Barber Shop: The salon is open Monday through Thursday
from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
- Bank: Staff can assist you with paying your monthly
bill, cashing checks, and purchasing stamps. Personal accounts are offered
for most residents.
- Town Hall: Many resident programs, visits from community
groups and religious services take place in the auditorium/chapel.
- Post Office: Mail is delivered six days a week. The
Business Office staff can also help you with packages
- Relax on the Porch: Visit with family and friends on the porch while enjoying a cup of coffee and a snack from the This, That & More Shop.
Wellness Center
The Wellness Center features state-of-the-art strength training and cardiovascular conditioning equipment that was designed and chosen to meet the needs of our senior population. The Center is staffed with a senior personal trainer who will individualize and oversee your fitness program.
Therapeutic Recreation
The Therapeutic Recreation department arranges and directs a variety of social, religious, educational, and cultural activities. Scheduled shopping trips, outings, and community events are available to interested residents.
Library and Resident Computers
The Home has a generous library with large print books. Resident computers are set up in three areas of the Home. The computers are specially equipped to meet the needs of seniors. Computer training and e-mail services are available.
Spiritual Services
The Home offers the services of a chaplain as well as visiting clergy from area churches. A variety of religious programs are offered including Sunday services, devotions, Bible study, prayer group, Catholic Mass, Protestant Communion and a resident choir.
Security
The Home is staffed 24 hours a day. The entrances are monitored by video and audio systems. Outside entrances are locked at all times, except for the main entrance, which is unlocked from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
